First I'd like to say that I love my new kitchen and BOM Remodeling actually made the process an enjoyable event. If you're thinking about remodeling, and you're going to be living in the space during the process, I want to warn you that it's not for the faint of heart.
Before and After
Before and After are great, but make sure you're ready for the during... your house to look something like this for a few weeks:
If you are considering a remodel, please get a storage unit, a shed, or make room in the attic and garage for all the things! My house was full of samples, temporary fixes that we no longer needed, and organized chaos for weeks. Again, all worth the ride, but I do recommend making it easier on yourself than I did!
Tip: Be prepared for decision fatigue. You will get to know yourself quickly when you're faced with rapid-fire decisions that everyone in your home will have varying opinions on! Of course I recommend making a vision or Pinterest Board to support you when you're unsure. This can help keep you on course and eliminate the noise much more quickly.
Here are the Top 5 Choices I made, and where I got them:

#5: The Backsplash. I honestly thought I was choosing a more matte finish, and I'm not sure if I picked up the wrong sample, or if the color looked different in the store, but it has much more of a glossy finish than I anticipated. My original plan was to go with a matte subway, but I changed my mind at the end. (Go With Your First Choice!). All that being said, I still love the backsplash and I got it from Lowes.

#4: Flooring. With the contrasting nature of the black and white kitchen the neutral color of the floors adds the perfect warmth that was desperately needed, and beyond the need, I think they're stunning! Camelot Brand, Sherwood Color.

#3: Drawer Hardware. I had no idea that simple drawer pulls could set you back so much! When I showed mine to the contractor, he guessed that they cost $25 a piece, when in fact they were much less and available on Amazon Prime! I read a ton of reviews and looked at a hundred different colors of "gold". They're sturdy and durable!

#2: The Sink. I thought I might miss the split sink, and haven't looked back for a second. I am beyond happy with the size and functionality of this particular sink and faucet, and wouldn't change a thing!

#1: The COUNTERTOPS! It's called Aurora White, and has veins of brass and grey. We purchased it from Granite Group, in Villa Rica. The warehouse is well stocked and they welcome you in to touch, feel, and gush over all the pieces you love. They moved pieces around so I could get better views and even sent me home with samples that I tried, and failed, to stain with every food coloring I had.
Don't Forget the Finishing Touches!
Here are a few of my favorites: Bottle Washer, Hot Water Dispenser,
I am just noticing that the box of Bloom moved around the kitchen throughout this whole process! I figure I should link it just incase you're subconsciously craving it now haha. TMI: The Mango will clean you out! (As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases)
